Home from home - wonderful! despite the stairs - we are getting on a bit, great size apartment (flat) lovely view, situated under the hills with an immediate walk up to the top via a private gate from the house.

We (3 senior ladies) stayed in this lovely 2nd floor apartment within a beautiful Jacobean mansion. Set within the hills in Malvern Wells, it is perfectly located for many hill walks: historical places of interest; lots of National Trust sites and, of course, Shakespeare’s birthplace and home. The views over the hills from the apartment were stunning. It is extremely well equipped and the owners, who were extremely nice and helpful, added little welcoming gestures of fresh flowers from their garden and cupcakes as well as some essential supplies to get us started. There are plenty of eateries within a short distance and a convenience store half a mile away. All In all a great week and we’d thoroughly recommend Haslington House. We should add that access to the apartment is by stairs - 10 outside wooden ones and then once inside there are 25 concrete stairs (some curved) and a further 10 carpeted ones into the flat. We didn’t find them a problem but they are not suitable those with mobility issues.

The location is absolutely stunning, the views are beautiful, whether you climb the hills or just admire from the comfortable rooms. The beds are comfortable and huge, the heating is easy to use and we never felt cold. The kitchen is so cosy and has all amenities as well as a washer dryer, in case you been for a muddy walk. The interior design is beautiful and felt so at home here. The hosts couldn’t be more friendly or helpful and the beautiful flowers, little cupcakes and tea making accoutrements were a very kind touch and very much appreciated. There are games, books and dvds available if you find you need entertaining, but I could have spent the whole time just looking out of the windows. Of course it is not suitable for those with mobility problems but this is stated very clearly anyway. The stairs didn’t bother us, the accommodation waiting was so worth it. Malvern is a lovely town to walk round and the accommodation is not too far from the Malvern Theatres, as well as the numerous walks on the hills , you could spend weeks here and not get bored. We would also recommend The Swan Inn in Hanley Swan for an excellent meal.

Firstly if you have difficulty with stairs or mobility then this is not the apartment for you, but, other than that it cannot be faulted. Set up in the Malvern Hills it has commanding views over the showground and beyond and is a beautiful setting. Closer is the owners beautiful garden which they are happy for you to take a walk around and I would advise everyone to do this. The apartment sleeps four easily and has large bedrooms and bathroom an ample kitchen and a living room with views to die for. All the furniture is comfortable and the apartment is very tastefully decorated. The owners left some flowers from their garden and some cupcakes for us and some provisions for our first night. You can walk straight from the apartment up into the Malvern hills and Malvern itself is a short 5 minute drive away. Perfect place to stay to tour Worcester and Herefordshire.

Stayed while taking a break to explore the Cotswolds. The house is utterly stunning. With the apartment situated on the top floor, with the owners living in the rest of the property. The apartment is roomy, well appointed and has everything you would need for a comfy stay. There was a really nice touch from the owners in the form of a vase of flowers from the stunning gardens and cupcakes left out for us, as well as a pint of milk, teabags and coffee so we could have a much needed brew on arrival. There is a convenience store about 50 yards away for essentials and everything else you would need in nearby Malvern. The views are breathtaking and an absolute pleasure to wake up to. Location wise, it was a perfect base to explore the region and a delight to return to after a day's exploring. Only drawback would be that it's not really suitable if you have mobility issues, but they do state that in booking information. Cannot recommend highly enough and if we come back to the Cotswolds we'll definitely book again.
