I did have wonderful time in the Seagulls House. Changing scenery and relaxing hot tub evenings were very distressing for four adult house mates in those difficult times. The house is impressive, beautiful and very well equipped. Garden is great and very private. Place is very close to the beautiful beach, nature reserves and also local food stores and pub where people are very friendly. The Seagulls House is a very good base for visiting the South of Wales and Brecon Beacon. We really enjoyed our time here.

We had a great time here with our young family. The kids loved all the toys and especially the hot tub! The owners were great and very helpful, they gave us lots of advice and we enjoyed visiting the beaches they recommended. The house and garden are lovely and have everything you want. Just don't forget dishwasher tablets! It was a really relaxing holiday just what we needed after the last few months.

Remember Covid? The year everything got cancelled. But the relaxation of the lockdown guidelines meant that my family of four and my brother’s family of four were able to come away together for a much needed end-of-term, week’s holiday. Seagulls was just what we needed: plenty of space in a large house, a beach on our doorstep, wildlife walks to blow away cobwebs, a hot tub to welcome us home if we got a bit too chilly on the beach and the luxury of a piano for those who have the skill to entertain. There is even a drying room in the garden for all those soggy swimmers and wetsuits. We benefitted from a last minute availability and I am so glad we took the opportunity to travel from our East coast to this Welsh West coast. I thoroughly recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our stay at Seagulls. The local beach was beautiful and was perfect for my two year old to run around on and explore the rock pools. Lovely local pubs within walking distance and lots of places to visit nearby that appealed to the adults and children in our party. The house is lovely. It is well equipped and very spacious. An added bonus for us was the large amount of toys which our children all enjoyed exploring. The weather was lovely when we were there so we made good use of the garden and in the evening, the hot tub was an added treat. I would definitely return. It’s a great place to stay.

We’ve just returned from our second stay at Seagulls, 2 years in a row. We absolutely love the house, it’s beautifully presented, homely & thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need for your stay. The location is amazing - right by the sea & a great base for exploring the stunning coastline or popping into Cardiff for some city fun. My family & I have created lovely memories here. We love the hot tub & the real fire in the lounge. There’s toys & games, even beach toys & chairs. And maps & brochures of nearby places of interest. We’d highly recommend this lovely home. ⭐️

Wonderful break over the bank holiday in this beautiful cottage that’s perfect for our two families to holiday together. Lots of room and space for everyone. Hot tub is brilliant fun for the kids and relaxing for the adults later on! Big table so we can all eat together. Gorgeous fire for cosy evenings. Weather has been beautiful so amazing to be so very close to the beach - literally out the door and on the dunes. We loved a walk and rock pool hunting and hardly anyone else around. Also amazing body boarding for everyone at nearby Rest bay where you can hire equipment very cheaply. The property is immaculate and very nicely furnished and finished. Washing machine and dishwasher make it practical and easy for families. WiFi and tv also great. We will definitely be back!

I booked this house for my husband's 70th birthday so family and friends could join in the celebrations. The bedrooms are spacious, the lounge huge and the heaters in the conservatory made this a very comfortable space, in January, to have our meals. The house is very well kitted out and the log burner in the lounge made the space cosy. Plenty of toys for the children and the piano in the hallway was a great hit. We visited the beach many times, even though it was cold.

Had a wonderful stay here for a surprise 50th Birthday for my husband. Very spacious and welcoming. Loved the log burner and jacuzzi which was amazing. Fabulous location next to the beach and within walking distance of 2 pubs. Would definitely recommend the jolly sailor for Sunday lunch but book in advance. Would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to returning again.

Conveniently located in a quiet residential area next to the sand dunes Seagulls was enjoyed by all in our three generation holiday. Plenty of space, a relaxing lounge, very well equipped, comfortable beds and a hot tub. Spotlessly clean. There are toys for little ones, a grand piano and books plus information in the area. We parked three cars on the drive without problem. The owner was unfailingly helpful, uncomplainingly answering a myriad of questions. There are two food shops and two pubs a few minutes away by car, a little more walking. Porthcawl is a traditional seaside resort. The beaches are clean, the beach across the dunes is very suitable for children, surfers head for Rest Bay. There are cafes and restaurants to suit all. Beales is good for fish and chips. We didn’t need to travel out of the town, mute weather was excellent, but know from previous experience that Cardiff and Swansea are easily reached and of course there is an Outlet Village at Bridgend for a retail fix. Seagulls makes an excellent base for any group of people, we’d all like to go back.

A lovely property. Well equipped with added extras such as the hot tub and piano - both of which provided hours of entertainment on the days that were less sunny. Can't fault the place - lovely and clean with friendly contact from the owner. The local dunes are well used by dog walkers. Porthcawl seemed a little run-down but I guess we were out of season and it seems there's a lot of work going on there. Ideal base for both Cardiff & Swansea - we loved our trip to Mermaid Quay at Cardiff, as well as Cardiff Castle. Although, there are plenty of other castles in the area to visit too.

We had a wonderful time at seagulls. We dined outside in the glorious sunshine and enjoyed time in the hot tub. We had a wonderful day body boarding down at Rest Bay and lovely walks on the beach just a short walk across the dunes and into town of a a lovely lunch. Really marvellous holiday with friends in the beautiful home.

We stayed there with friends (4 adults, 7 children) in March 2018. The house was comfortably big enough to take everyone so at no point did we feel cramped, it is really well presented and looked after with everything needed to have a good week there, the hot tub is great (especially when it's raining weirdly) and it is right next to the beach so we walked to the beach and came back to the house within 25 minutes. Loved our visit and we shall certainly be returning Highly recommended.

From the first moment we walked through the front door it felt amazing and we knew from that moment on that it would be a nice holiday retreat. Pictures do sometimes deceive as the house actually so much more than expected. From a clean well furbished home to the spacious rooms to comfy clean beds to Fine finished bathrooms. The kitchen itself stood out fully equipped with all the crockery and all the cleaning machines working prefectly. Two fridges provided as well. we loved it. The wifi was excellent and very strong. The sleek dining table made meals a paradime of fun. Evenings by the Jacuzzi gave a warm wrap to an each eventful day of our week. It was a fantastic stay.

Thank you so much to the owner for a brilliant stay - just by the dunes and sea but also the luxury of a hot tub! Lucky to have great weather so managed a few BBQs and dinners in the lovely conservatory. Clean, well managed and beautifully decorated. Fantastic spot for a friends reunion!

This house was a brilliant place to stay for me and my family! It was clean, well presented, comfortable and really spacious. The house was a really short walk from the beach through some sand dunes. We found loads of things to do nearby including visiting some gorgeous beaches for sandcastle making and fossil hunting and Cardiff was in really easy reach for a day out. The best bit was definitely relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of wine!
