Accommodation Details

Over three floors. Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x second floor double with TV, 1 x single. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Kitchen. Sitting room with dining area and gas fire.

This traditional, end-terrace Victorian cottage is situated in a quiet position just a five minute walk from the centre of Haworth. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard whilst retaining period features and provides an ideal base for a family, with plenty to do and see nearby. On the ground floor is a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious sitting room with a dining area and also a gas flame fire – perfect for those chilly nights after a day exploring the Yorkshire countryside. On the first floor is a large bedroom with a comfy king-sized bed, a second bedroom with a single bed, plus a bathroom. The third bedroom is on the second floor and has a comfy double bed and a TV. Steeped in literary history and formerly home to the Bronte sisters, Haworth has much to offer, including traditional pubs, restaurants and cafes, a variety of walks and many events throughout the year. There is also the Worth Valley Steam Railway, the setting for the film ‘The Railway Children’, which has a station in Haworth. Skipton is nearby with its cobbled streets, delightful castle and market and is well worth a visit. A short drive over the moors is the ever-popular town of Hebden Bridge with its many independent shops, bars and restaurants. This lovely cottage is an ideal base to explore the Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales at any time of the year.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren.

Reviews

Really immaculate little cottage, good price, helpful owner, just ten minutes walk from the station and the Parsonage. Easy parking, quiet road. My only issues were we booked for 5 guests as advertised but it felt more set up for 4, with only 4 dining chairs and place settings etc, only 1 teatowel, 1 hand towel, only a couple of loo rolls. I know it's a small thing but it felt like we were a bit stretched. Bedrooms were bright and fresh. As advertised, the stairs to the attic room were VERY steep and 3 of our party didn't even attempt them. Kitchen was well stocked although a colander would be helpful as well as more than 3 wine glasses! But I would recommend it and would stay again.

This was such a gem of a place to find, I have stayed in other self catering cottages in Haworth and this by best. Conveniently located at the bottom of Main Street in Haworth, and parking was right outside the door. It is so clean and cosy and has a welcoming feel as soon as you enter, the owners provided a gift basket with wine, chocolate, cake etc which wasn’t needed but received. All the rooms were immaculately clean, and well appointed, and it was all the little extras that make the stay better. Little courtyard area at the rear for a drink in the sun as well. Contact with the owner was really friendly and nothing too much bother, she told me everything I needed to know as well. If you have a dog (we didn’t) they are welcome as well (downstairs). The cost of this was really comparable and location wise was great, five minute walk to the Main Street. Will definitely return here

We have been coming to Haworth for many years now as it's one of my favorite places to visit! So we have stayed at a number of cottages and B&Bs in the area. I would definitely recommend worth valley cottage. It's in a fab location, only a few minutes stroll to main street. The cottage itself had everything you could need, it was lovely and clean with plenty of spare towels, linens etc. The stairs to the attic bedroom are quite steep (although I was 8months pregnant so everything feels steep to me) our children got up and down there just fine! All the beds were super comfy. I would definitely stay at this cottage again.

Absolutely fabulous cottage that was a pleasure to spend five nights in. On walking through the front door, we all felt at home straight away. The cottage just seems to welcome you in. The living room was so cosy, with or without the fire on. The kitchen had everything we needed to look after all five of us. All The bedrooms were immaculate and spotless, it was like no one had ever been in before. The bedding felt very good and homely . The shower over the full length bath was fantastic. Again, this was so clean and extremely well presented. With plenty of clean fresh towels. There is a small quiet garden with a table and chairs which we didn’t make use of as we were to busy exploring the surrounding beautiful countryside. The worth valley steam trains are a must as is the Main Street in Haworth which is just up the street from the cottage. We loved this great value for money gem of holiday home x can’t wait until next year (we rebooked without hesitation)

Just got back from a lovely weekend at this cottage. Everything you needed good quality bedding and towels. Only a 5 min walk into town where there are plenty of shops restaurants bars. We did the waterfall walk on Saturday despite having storm Dennis and it was worth it . The locals are very friendly and make you feel welcome. We would go back without a doubt hopefully with better weather.
