Reviews

Thank you Morag for such a lovely welcome and bringing me some coffee. I can’t praise this place enough. I felt so at home. The cottage was super clean and homely. Morag left us gorgeous cakes and all the villagers were so friendly. What a pretty and beautiful spot. I could of just stayed indefinitely !

Both Steve & Morag were extremely friendly and welcoming. The cottage is beautifully decorated and we enjoyed the spacious rooms. The cottage was lovely and warm (after having the log burner on and turning the heating up). We took 4 bikes with us and the owners very generously offed space in their garage to safely store them. The cycling is very flat (compared to the rest of Cumbria), so is Ideal for family’s with low traffic roads and near route 72 of the National Cycling Network. A must is a sunset walk (or bounce) over the salt marshes to the west of the village. One of the highlights of the stay.

Amazingly spacious house. Children loved having a double bed each. Peaceful and cosy. Morag and Steve were very obliging. Thanks for going to such lengths to sort the WiFi - makes for quieter children! Beautiful area. Fabulous walks. Our collie didn’t want to go home and neither did we. Feeling rested and relaxed. Thank you

Arrived 31 Dec for 2 night stay over New Year. When we arrived Steve ans Morag had left a complimentry bottle of fizz and home made cake which was a lovely surprise. The cottage was very spacious for 6 adults and 2 dogs and was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was very well equiped with plenty of crockery and cutlery and anything else you needed. The woodburner was excellent and kept us cozy over a couple of cold nights. Beautifully decorated throughout, would visit again to explore the area in the summer.
