Reviews

Booked a last minute short break Jenna was very flexible about start date and duration. The cottage is a great size for 2 people, the bedroom especially is beautiful and spacious. Well placed for enjoying the area and an excellent dog friendly pub just 20 yards away. No off road parking but it was never an issue getting parked directly outside the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and wouldn’t hesitate booking again.

We booked this cottage last minute so wasn’t expecting too much . On arrival Jenna was lovely and friendly, there was tea and coffee supplied plus a bottle of wine. The cottage is quaint , perfect for two with two terriers . The bedding and towels were of good quality and the whole cottage was spotlessly clean . There is a big supermarket a short drive away for all of your essentials . The pub next door is dog friendly and does lovely well priced meals . The cottage is in a perfect location for exploring the area . Derwent reservoir is 5 minutes away , Bamburgh castle is about an hours drive away . Druridge bay is a must if you have dogs . Long empty beaches for the dogs to run madly in the surf . Alnwick castle , Seahouses, high force waterfalls all within easy reach . We even had a day in the Lake District. It was our first visit to the area but certainly won’t be our last and would definitely stay at Wayside cottage again .
