Lakeside Lodge is a superb detached lodge next to a lake, on the owners' estate, five minutes' walk from the village of East Harling near Thetford. This lodge sleeps two people and has a double bedroom with en-suite and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there's off road parking for 2 cars, a private decking with furniture and free, shared use of estate facilities including hot tub, pool table, riverside picnic area and one acre lake with specimen fishing. Lakeside Lodge is a great base for a couple or solo traveller.

This wonderful lodge has been hand-built by the owner and offers a tranquil escape, ideal for couples and solo travellers. Situated on the edge of the lake on the owners' beautiful estate, this lodge has spectacular wildlife straight from the door, yet just a few minutes’ walk from the village centre of East Harling. Step up on to the decked area with far reaching views over the lake; this is an ideal spot for enjoying a morning coffee while planning your day, that is if you can tear yourself away from your lodge and it's surroundings! Step in from the decking via the bi-fold doors to reveal a cosy, beautifully presented light and airy open plan living area with everything you could need for your stay. The kitchen is completed to a high standard, and the bedroom is located to the back of the lodge and has an en-suite shower room. Guests staying at the lodge can enjoy this lovely estate; there is a beautiful riverside picnic area with thatched gazebo alongside the River Thet which runs through the estate, and a one acre lake with specimen fishing is available. The village of East Harling is just a short walk away and has everything you could need for your stay but there is plenty to do both close by and a short drive or cycle away. Many visitors enjoy a visit to Banham Zoo and Thetford Forest is also close by, with excellent off road cycling, wildlife, walking routes and a number of other outdoor activities and events throughout the year. The historical and vibrant city of Norwich is easily accessible from the lodge and worth a visit with its excellent range of restaurants, shops and bars. Just ten minutes by car is Snetterton motor racing circuit, an absolute must for motorsport fans as it plays host to a number of major sporting events such as the British Touring Car and the British Superbikes Championships. A perfect lodge to relax at but with the advantage of so much to enjoy close by. Note: This property can be booked with Refs: 963051 and 963052 together they sleep 9.

East Harling has a village store, Post Office, two pubs,snd a fish and chip shop. East Harling sits close to the borders of Suffolk and enables you to visit the many attractions to be found in both Norfolk and Suffolk.

Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 5 mins walk. Note: There are boarding kennels on the estate and the owners request dogs to be kept on a lead when walking on the estate. Note: Children to be supervised at all times due to the River Thet running through the estate, as well as the fishing lake next to the property. The river is unfenced and the lake has a low-level fence. Note: Fishing available all year round.

Set in a beautiful spot nestled on the edge of the lake of which the reality of the photos excelled in the scenery upon arrival . We were already stocked with eggs, milk and delicious cake as well as lovely flowers - on the cosy dining table (thanks to Robert our congenial host). A well equipped holiday home with everything you need for a very comfortable stay with tasteful decor nodding to the beauty of the Norfolk countryside . We were delighted to see the Kingfisher on our second morning - a magical sight. Thankyou to Robert and family for the extra touches . Certainly one of the best picturesque and memorable places we have stayed. We are already looking to book for next year. Tracey and Andrew
Lovely lodge very well maintained with good facilities. Fishing on site but quite difficult to catch. We had a great time and the village was very friendly. We will certainly be returning.
Plenty to do close by lovely lodge just what we wanted nice people very friendly lake water was cold but caught a few Roach and Rudd great walks for ben the dog would go back
What a find! The most peaceful location to relax and unwind, there is another property on the lake with a third being built but the clever positioning by the owners makes for no loss of privacy. The lodge itself is comfortable and has all you need. The location is a perfect base for so many days out, St George's Distillery is only a mile away so leave the car here and walk to enjoy a great tour and food. This is our first time at the lodge but it will not be our last.
If it is peace and quiet you are after, this is the place. A beautifully furnished lakeside lodge set in gorgeous countryside on a private farm. The fishing on the lake was such an added bonus, but the wildlife was amazing, heron, kingfishers, wrens, barn owl, kestrels, deer, geese. The owners were more than helpful and the village of East Harling was only a 5 minute walk which had everything you would need pubs, supermarket (small), butchers, chemist, fish & chip shop. If you could drag yourself away from the lake, then Diss and Thetford were within easy reach and both worth a visit. Will definitely be back.
