Reviews

Fantastic property located just a short walk away from the Ingleton waterfall trail. The property was very clean and tidy with milk in the fridge and a loaf of bread and some butter left for us. Sally explained everything we needed to know and we were left to our own devices, which is exactly what we like. There is a folder in the property with loads of information about the local amenities and attractions. The property is away from the road and is very quiet. The wildlife in the garden is amazing to watch and we spent a few hours doing so. I would not hesitate to recommend doe foot to anyone and i we are back around Ingleton i will definitely be looking to book here. Thank you Sally & David, we really enjoyed our stay. Gary & Cheryl

What a lovely place Was a little difficult to locate- we ended up just pulling into a cult de sac and asking a man, who turned out to be the owner! Very friendly family to greet us and show us in We were left to our own devices and told there was a loaf of beetroot sour dough bread on the side for us. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. So we had a quick look around, every room was so tidy and clean and much more spacious than we'd expected. The bed was extremely comfy! Also my partner has decided she loved the living room ( especially the curtains )that much she's googled the furnishings and is going to transform her house. The location is perfect, such a quaint little village, right on the river, a few pubs and bars nearby, some nice independent shops, and a co op for stocking up on treats. So much to do within about a 20 min drive from the property. The waterfall walk ( which is literally across the road ) was great, so many lively falls and great views. Back to the property - it had everything we needed, we cooked every night and can not stress enough just how delicious that beetroot bread is! And a lovely touch from the owners, so delicious in fact we went to the bakers and ordered another loaf. It's away from any traffic so no noise on a night. Sitting watching the wildlife in the garden was a highlight, we saw pheasants, a huge load of blue tits ( think they have a nest beside the door) , a squirrel, a woodpecker, loads, I could ( and did ) have sat for a long time just watching them. Considering the property is attached to the owners property, we never once heard them or felt like we weren't in a private place. There was a guest book recommending nearby attractions and eateries. The old post office bar was lovely, as was the marton arms pub just outside the village. I couldn't recommend this place enough, would love to return and I'm sure we will do. It was telling that each review in the book they had in the property was as good as this one. I dio have a confession however! By total accident we appear to have stolen a small black torch ( which we took with us on a walk ) and didn't realise until we were home, glad to reimburse for a new one of you contact me by email :) sorry! We've already recommended this place to a loaf of family and friends and even though its been a couple of weeks since we returned home I'm still extremely relaxed and happy from such a superb trip away, thank you so much

Doe Foot is located in a tranquil setting with easy access to shops, excellent pubs and village amenities. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and private with its lovely garden, home to lots of bird life. A great nights sleep was assured, unspoiled by light pollution and road noise. All fixtures and fittings were high quality with lots of little extras. The owners, Sally and David, were nearby and are a fount of information about the countryside around and activities to make the most of the area. A lovely place to unwind and recharge but also from which to venture into the Dales for a variety of nearby adventures. Looking forward to a return visit.
