Shrewsbury is a historic town in Shropshire, famed for its black-and-white buildings, castle and abbey. The town was the birthplace of Charles Darwin, and offers a very good selection of shops, restaurants and bars, along with museums, galleries and new Theatre Severn. The River Severn is a focal point of the town, offering pleasant riverside walks and pleasure boat trips. From Shrewsbury it is easy to enjoy some of Shropshire's best attractions, from the mansion and deer park at NT Attingham Park, to the ten museums at Ironbridge, the wonderful countryside around Church Stretton, or the medieval town of Ludlow.

Reviews

My partner and I stayed here for 7 nights to relax during half-term and we had an absolutely lovely time. The place was spotless on arrival, the heating was on and we were met with smiles and advice on where to get our food shop/go to eat. The kitchen is EXTREMELY well equipped (perhaps better than the one at home!), even going as far as cheese graters, pots, pans, utensils, jugs etc. The beds were really comfortable and the smart TV and games in the living room supplied us with a lot of laughs & entertainment. All in all a fabulous stay, will definitely be returning!

The lodge was perfect for our family holiday with 2 young kids. Very clean with all the things you could need. Large field to use which the kids enjoyed. Paul and Jo could not have been more helpful ensuring we had everything we needed and more. Great central location for exploring the area. Would have no hesitation in booking again.

Paul and jo were amazing hosts and had provided everything you could ever need. The lodge was stunning both inside and out with beautiful views and plenty of outside space to relax and children to play. The welcome pack was outstanding even including wine from the local area and homemade scones, jam, cream and fresh milk and beautiful fresh flowers. Equipped with full wifi, large smart tv and good selection of games and dvds.suitable for wheelchair use as all on the level once up the step on to the decking. Excellent accommodation lovely furnished ,a true gem.
