Reviews

A beautifully wrapped Easter welcome gift awaited our arrival at this quaint and quirky holiday cottage. It was a comfortable and cosy base for our planned cycling, walking and wider exploration of the spectacular Snowdonia mountain, lake, waterfall and coastal scenery. The Mawddach Trail along the Dolgellau Estuary to Barmouth provides a level traffic-free ride, whilst for a more challenging cycle route Trawsfyndd is perfect. The views from both are awe inspiring and raise the spirit of any lockdown heart. From the peak above the cottage, accessed via the Foel Caerynwch public footpath, you can watch the sun set or rise over the rolling landscape. We returned each night to snuggle in the warmth of the wood burning stove, greeted by the gorgeous cats- Kitten and Dave, who are regulars visitors to guests in this dog friendly cottage. The weather was amazing, glorious sunshine and then on our final day a covering of snow. All COVID safeguards were in place and the lovely wardens were friendly and helpful. A super break!

Lovely place to stay for access to walking and the beach at Barmouth. Clean and tidy with a nice welcome pack of local produce. The precipice walk nearby is a must and great for quick access to Cadair Idris. Barmouth is close with a superb sandy beach and great fish & chips. Loved our time here and the host Angharad is really nice. Would recommend to all.

The cottage is very homely, with an extremely cosy wood burner. A very well equipped space, perfect for my partner & I. Was very clean & had a lovely little welcome pack. The cats also kept us company which was another plus Navigating around was easy, being a good distance between surrounding places. Being on a caravan site, the car & cottage felt very secure, so had no worries leaving for day trips! Would love to come back & highly recommend
