...plus any other superlatives you can think of. We stayed for a week in mid-May. The weather was wet most of the time but it did not spoil our enjoyment of this excellent property. It is perched on the side of a hill with extensive views from the coast to the Forest of Bowland. The owners are very friendly and helpful and supplied a comprehensive welcome pack. Shops, pubs and, most importantly, a great fish and chip shop are within walking distance. The Little Town farm shop, only 5 minutes drive away, provides lots of great quality local produce. The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need and is probably the best property we have stayed in.

I only stayed for 4 nights, wish I stayed longer, I felt very lucky to have stayed here as the views were spectacular and I had the weather to experience the sunrise and sunset. It is a truly amazing Cottage with everything I needed, it was blissfully quiet in the evening. There were hikes nearby which of one I did and the views are breathtaking to say the least. The hosts were very kind and their hospitality was 5 star! I have no complaints and I will definitely return! Thank you for such a lovely experience!

JUST GETS BETTER We stayed for a second visit couple of weeks ago. The views are even more stunning in Summer with rolling green hills and amazing sunsets over the Fylde coast. Cottage had been deep cleaned for extra COVID precautions and was absolutely spotless. Generous welcome pack seemed to have got even bigger and Roger & Lesley were absolutely great. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt really well looked after and totally safe and secure. We’re already planning our 3rd visit for 2021.

Recently returned from our 2nd stay at Meadow Cottage and it’s still as ‘wow’ as our first visit. The booking was provisional until a week before yet, we were secure and happy to be informed that we would have a full refund In the event of us cancelling due to Covid. Roger welcomed us on our arrival and ensured that we were happy with everything before informing us that if we needed anything he would be available but other than that he would leave us to enjoy our weeks stay. We were a party of 2 couples and the layout of the cottage was perfect. Plenty of space in the main Cottage but we also had the most lovely annex with its own bathroom which enabled us to have our own privacy yet still be together. We had been left a fabulous welcome pack which was greatly appreciated, especially the wine and chocolates. The Cottage is totally private from the main building and as it’s on a farm we were surrounded by fields, some even had the most friendliest cows visit at times throughout the day. The 360’ panoramic views are absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise / sunset (it’s worth getting up early to see them) and we saw lots of different birds so I’d recommend taking binoculars. Longridge is a short drive away with some quaint shops and cafes yet also sufficient supermarkets; there are numerous pubs close by however we did ask Roger for his recommendations and we were certainly not disappointed with his suggestions. I would throughly recommend Meadow Cottage for a comfortable, luxurious break. Thank you Lesley & Roger for a lovely holiday.

Stayed here twice already, booked in again September. Well removed but handy for all Longridge amenities. Very private with long views and varying weather patterns/sunrise and sunset views all from modern self contained luxury. Mine hosts Roger And Lesley are tremendous. Thoughtful and attentive answering to every need but allowing space and privacy where needed. Simply cannot recommend this lovely place enough.

My Wife and I stayed at Meadow Cottage for a week in July - the booking process was very straightforward and inspired great confidence. We were joined by my Son and Daughter-in-law for the weekend - they were so impressed they stayed on longer. The views are stunning and Roger and Lesley were great hosts. We received a very warm welcome and the information packs were very informative. We asked for recommendations of local places to eat and Rogers advice was spot on. The cottage is beautiful and catered to all our needs. All appliances are of a very high standard and local amenities are accessible within a 5 minute drive. We were visited by a variety of wildlife - very friendly cows in the adjacent field! Roger and Lesley have struck a great balance - they are friendly and available but did not intrude at all. It was comforting to know they were there if we needed them. Many thanks for a lovely stay - easy to see how this property merits a five star rating.

This property had some stunning views, especially at sunset and sunrise. With the changing weather, the scenery took on different looks. It would take an awfully long time, if ever, to grow tired of the outlook. The property was very clean and well presented as advertised. The web photos give an honest representation of the property and immediate vicinity. It was an ideal place for our party and the hosts were very accommodating in arranging the second bedroom to give our elder mother her own retreat whenever she needed some quiet time. She was very impressed with the views and the wildlife on view meaning that a day relaxing 'at home' held her interest whilst recharging after travelling and days out. We would certainly have no hesitation in returning in the future and would certainly have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family.

A colleague and I stayed at Meadow Cottage for 6 weeks as we were working nearby. It has to be said I was slightly dreading 6 weeks in January away from home but Meadow Cottage was absolutely perfect. The house is superbly equipped; literally everything you could ask for. Fantastic kitchen and 2 lovely bathrooms. Do note that bedroom 2 is accessible only through a separate entrance. Comfy bed and super soft towels make the stay gorgeous. The log burning fire made a perfect welcome home. The views from the cottage are fantastic and it's a perfect spot. Lovely pubs are nearby and Longridge offers lots of options. Roger and Lesley couldn't do enough for us. Any problem we had was sorted out within the day and they were on hand with advice and help at every moment. Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to return. If in doubt - book it!

Would strongly recommend this property to all, the feeling you have when staying here is that you are secluded on a hill top. As seen in the photos the large windows have superb views that look out across fields and small villages. (We recommend bringing binoculars for the animals.) At the same time, local amenities are a short walk away. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a small selection of goodies which were greatly appreciated, especially after arriving there at 9pm. The property itself fit the luxurious description, the log fire was perfect for late afternoons and warmed the property in no time. The wet-room bathroom was a nice surprise and the walk in shower was the perfect thing to wake you up on a morning. The whole property was clean and presented to an extremely high standard. With the help of Roger and Lesley we had no trouble filling our time with days out and visiting local cafes/restaurants, we even had days out to Blackpool & the Trafford Centre. They were VERY accommodating of our three year old, providing him with a toy digger to play on for when we stayed around the property. They also provided a fold out bed to allow him to stay in our room with us, (as the second bedroom is adjacent to the main property and would not have been suitable). We cannot thank you enough for ensuring our stay was memorable & enjoyable, hope to be back soon.

As probably the first guest to stay at Meadow Cottage since it was launched in August 2018, I thought I should write my first TripAdvisor review for others as this is a truly wonderful place to stay. Despite its traditional looks, Meadow Cottage is totally modern build with fantastic panoramic views and modern comfortable tasteful living. In fact, many features of Meadow Cottage make you rethink how you have your own home. The cottage is totally private from the main house and being on a farm is totally surrounded by grazing meadows at the end of a 200yd tree lined drive - well away from roads and any traffic. It is very peaceful. I was staying as a base for work for a few days but as a keen walker I also found it to be a perfect location for walks in the Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland. But with the amazing views it was also a joy just to sit and look out across the valleys to the distant coast. The place is new, spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, comfortable and warm. I slept very very well. Whilst not advertised as disabled friendly, it would be highly suitable for guests with limited mobility as there is an access ramp from the car park and the bathroom has an outward opening wide access door and wet room shower facilities where a ‘sit down’ shower could be taken. The owners Roger and Lesley are very welcoming, friendly and supportive and know the area very well. They are only too keen to assist with tips and recommendations about local eating, drinking and other activities.
