Great cottage in an ideal location. This was our first holiday cottage rental and it didn't disappoint. We were warmly welcomed, the cottage was very clean and well equipped. It was easy to find and in a good location for touring the surrounds areas. I went with my mum and two dogs and we would both deffinately want to go back with the husbands. Would highly recommend this property

This was a fantastic stay! We loved how clean the cottage was, very well kept, decorated and cared for, it catered to our every need. We especially enjoyed the lovely quite location and even visited the local pub! The coal fires every night were cosy and warm, and the fact we could bring pets made it all the better. This is a very family/pet friendly cottage, with everything you need for a fantastic week in the lake district, very handy for shopping in Penrith and all the other feature of the lake district, fantastic location. I cannot praise this cottage highly enough, and we will most definitely be staying again in the near future.

What a pleasure it was to arrive and find a Christmas tree in the living room! Everything was warm, clean and cosy and there was more space downstairs for our two long legged teenagers than we had expected. It blew a gale outside but inside was peasceful and calm with well-sealed quiet windows. Coming inside in mid winter with dogs was easy with a little lobby to 'hold' them in whilst they had a full clean up! Open views from the windows across countryside, a friendly pub with good food to walk to and easy parking. Fantastic to have unlimited coal/wood for the fire. It would have been good to have some soap and a hair dryer. Service fine although the agent could have sent more specific information about the owners needing contact before we arrived.

The cottage is attached to the owners property on a working farm. You would never know this though. We were there 4 days and only saw the owner once but we knew they were within easy reach should we require anything The cottage is beautiful with a large lounge with an open stone fireplace and a dining table. We never used the table as we preferred to eat in the equally large sun room, which afforded nice views of the birds using the many feeders and the green fields leading to the hills. The kitchen is small but not too small, and is very well equipped with everything you could need. Both bedrooms are en suite with showers but not baths. We had a little trouble with the second person having a warm shower as all the hot water would be used but it meant for a good wake up call! The location is in a small village which makes for a very quiet stay. There is a pub close by but the nearest shop is a drive away. Keswick is around a 20min drive away but it allows for the viewing of some beautiful scenery. Overall I'd rate Low Garth as very good and would definitely recommend it to others.
