Ayrmer Path is a roomy detached house at the end of a no-through road on the Ayrmer Cove side of Ringmore. With period features and a lovingly styled interior, it is charming accommodation for families to enjoy timeless relaxation on the coast. Steps lead down into the porch and from there you head into the big light kitchen which has a table to eat around in true country style. Alternatively, you can dine together around the table in the sitting room which provides lovely sea views and a cosy open fire to gather around. To sit quietly with a good book, you have a snug with a handy sofa bed for flexible sleeping arrangements. At the end of a busy day, head upstairs to bed in the four bedrooms. Outside, a sun terrace is a great space for cooking on the barbecue, eating alfresco and watching the sun set over the sea, and beyond that the children can play freely on the lawns and in the orchard. To get down to the little sandy cove, follow the pretty 600 yard footpath which passes the house and it will also take you to join the Coast Path for brilliant walking. Bigbury-on-Sea and Challaborough offer big sandy beaches with plenty of waves for bodyboarding and surfing. Reviews

I rented this house for our family holiday last year. There were 7 of us with ages ranging from 1year to 70 years. It suited as all in every way. The house sits overlooking the bay so the views were fantastic.leaving the garden we walked down the lane to the beach.....no cars or cyclists , so very safe for the children and our lively brown Labrador! The beach was always quite empty.....never more than 20/30 people . Great for playing games, rock pooling or just sitting and enjoying the ambience. The house has a large and interesting garden.....a sheltered spot in front of the lounge,a large expanse of grass which was great for cricket and football. Boys of 5 and 8 were in their element......and so were we as they amused themselves for hours. The house was brilliant....plenty of downstairs space, comfortable areas to sit.....a separate snug for the boys to play games or watch their television programmes. The kitchen was really well equipped.....home from home. All the bedrooms were super. Some with amazing views ! This is a really good family house for holidays we will return.
