Reviews

Booked Moor Farm Cottage as a last minute get away! Was truly beautiful, spacious and as the title says “home from home”. The owners were very accommodating with our request. Fresh flowers were left in the majority of rooms which added to the finesse of this property. We will definitely be returning, a summer weekend all being well to enjoy the amazing garden! My husband left his glasses and a remote and they are currently in transit working their way back to us! Thank you Caroline and Jane!

We wanted somewhere to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and my word did this beautiful cottage deliver! It’s decor is so beautiful and homely. Fresh flowers in every room and the most beautiful finishing touches. Everything you could possibly need to make cooking for a group of 6 easy too. We were a little wary that the children (age 4 and 7) may get bored but they didn’t have time. The garden is a really good size for and energetic young man and the hot tub was a hit. Log fires and board games at night made it perfect. The beds are really comfy too! Thank you for a memorable 4 nights we will definitely re-book in the near future

This is our second visit to the cottage and we enjoyed it as much as the first time we stayed. We love and enjoy it that much we have decided to use this holiday rental as our annual holiday visit as it doesnt just benefit ourselves but also our spaniel loves it. Our family joined us for the weekend of our time here, as we bragged about it that much and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Was nice to have a house full and there was enough space for all 6 of us and a dog. The cottage is always clean, spacious, tidy and smells amazing on arrival and facilitates everything you need. We have had a sainsburys food shop delivered for when we check in so that we can do a big fat nothing once here and dont have to travel further after a long drive in one day. The dishwasher broke on us the second day in, but the owner couldnt be anymore helpful. They were so polite and got the problem fixed straight away. We were fine pot washing for a few days if needed, however they fixed it all in the same day. That was great customer service. We love meeting the owners and hearing their stories of the cottage and see how much passion they have in the place. For this time of year, the garden still looked amazing with some fresh blooms of daffodils and other bright flowers. My favourite have to be the pink ones near the front door. The attention to detail is incredible with fresh flowers inside, fresh cake and a welcome card. Makes us feel welcome each time. The dog loves being let loose in the garden and we dont have to worry about him getting out or getting hurt whilst we take in the views and enjoy the hot tub. The cottage provides a great place to relax, come back too after enjoying the beach and/or walks and also a place to do nothing and escape the busy schedules we can get caught up in. Thank you soooo much to the owners for having is again.

Wow. We have recently just stayed at this cottage for 7 nights and we absolutely loved it. Don't hesitate to book this amazing place as a get away. We had two adults and one puppy and we enjoyed the hot tub every night and sometimes more than once in the day. The cottage has all the facilities you require on a stay if not more. The final detail and small touches made us feel so welcome. We had fresh flowers in all rooms, a welcome card and some lovely handmade flapjack. The cottage was very clean and tidy and fitted in with our tastes. The garden was fabulous. We enjoyed our breakfast outside in the morning whilst looking over the fields watching the sun rise. We could even let our puppy run about and not have to worry as the garden was fully secure. There was so much space within the cottage. More than we initially thought, which meant with just the two of us we had plenty of choice when it came to beds and seats. The location was peaceful and quite and was easy to get to local village shops and beaches. We would definitely recommend the little cafe in mapleton which is next to a beach front which is dog friendly. They do amazing cake and ice cream. You are literally in the middle of nowhere which made our stay very relaxing. The location of the cottage was approx 15 minutes from Hull and 15 minutes from Hornsea. We couldnt thank the owners of this property enough for such a great stay. We will definitely be booking again and returning with family/friends. I would highly recommend this cottage for families and couples that are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy lives.
