This rural terraced cottage can be found in Foyers in the Highlands of Scotland. Overlooking a dramatic landscape, 42 Glenlia is a one-bedroom property, perfect for a romantic, country escape with your loved one. The front of the property offers an enclosed garden with decking and garden furniture, enjoying wonderful views of the countryside, where you can get together for outdoor dining. The sitting room is entered via a French door and features an exposed stone wall and log burner, adding a rustic charm to the property. The kitchen has a dining area for four, as well as contemporary slimline appliances, offering a stylish finish. From the kitchen, you can see the rear of the property, which offers off-road parking for up to one vehicle. There is a family bathroom with over-head shower, bath, W/C and basin, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the highlands. Next door is the master bedroom, with a double bed which overlooks the view at the front of the property. Make the most of the enclosed garden and soak up a balmy afternoon on the decking, with a well-earned drink on return from a long walk. The cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands, Inverness, is 20 miles away and boasts the gorgeous Inverness Castle and Inverness Cathedral, as well as many other fantastic attractions. Dores is 9 miles away and en route from Inverness. There you will find the popular Dores Inn restaurant/pub which has uninterrupted views of Loch Ness from their terrace. Fort Augustus, 13 miles away, offers plenty of water-sports and outdoor activities, from sailing and kayaking to cycling and hiking. We chose this cottage as it was in a quiet location but close enough to the busier tourist hotspots in the Highlands for days out. This cottage was beautifully appointed and was everything we were looking for. After a busy day exploring the wonderful highlands it was lovely coming back to the cottage.. an absolute haven of peace and tranquility . The cottage was immaculately clean with a well equipped kitchen . Lots of modern touches like the heated pictures ! The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of drawer /cupboard space We loved the private garden and the views of the mountains in the distance . Foyers falls is on the doorstep and is amazing ! We never tired of the stunning views en route to our daily destinations especially the road to Fort Augustus. We would definitely recommend this cottage and would love to return sometime ! Just wonderful . This was our first holiday since before the COVID pandemic began and this cottage and and it’s amazing location made our holiday extra special ..
