The property also consist of a bathroom with roll top bath, an open-plan living/kitchen/dining area with woodburning stove and a utility room. Outside there is off-road parking for one car and the garden has decking with a table and chairs, two sun loungers and a private hot tub. Ty Hiraeth is a superb base for a rural retreat in the stunning Shropshire countryside.

Ty Hiraeth, meaning 'house with a sense of coming home' in Welsh, is situated, surrounded by glorious rolling countryside in Llandyssil near Montgomery, close to the Welsh/Shropshire border. On a quiet country lane, with the owner's house at the end of the road, this stunning and luxurious newly-built lodge is ideal for a couple or small group wanting to enjoy the peaceful tranquility of rural Wales, with a well-thought out design and lovely finishing touches. Driving up to the property, there is off-road parking available for one car, and the flat gravel driveway of this all-ground-floor property is suitable for any guests with mobility issues. Heading inside, there is a utility room with sink, coat hooks and a washing machine, for your convenience. From here, the bright and airy open-plan living area has huge bi-folding doors, allowing in plenty of natural light and showcasing those spectacular countryside views. This large space has underfloor heating, giving it a cosy and homely feel, with a dining table set for four, where you can gather together to enjoy meals lovingly prepared in the contemporary kitchen, fully-equipped with all of the necessities you will require, including a dishwasher, so you don't have to worry about the washing up. The sitting room has a large l-shaped sofa you can relax onto after a day of exploring, with a cosy woodburning stove roaring in the corner and your choice of what to watch on the 55" nano-cell TV for that ultimate viewing experience, or simply just sit back and admire those glorious views. The bi-fold doors open onto the decking, where a picnic bench-style table and chairs are ideal for an alfresco meal in the sunshine or to enjoy a meal cooked on the BBQ, while the two sun loungers are perfect for lounging in the sunshine, with the private hot tub close by, directly outside one of the bedrooms, should you want to add a touch of luxury to your stay. There are two bedrooms in the lodge, a super-king-size and a twin with TVs and plenty or storage space, while the twin also features an en-suite shower room, immaculately styled and finished. The owner's have thoughtfully provided monogrammed towels and robes as well as bespoke toiletries including soaps and bath soak, just one example of the careful and thoughtful touches this property exudes. The master bedroom, with spectacular views, has the luxury of patio doors, which open up onto the garden/decking area and is perfect for keeping things cool on a summer's day. The family bathroom with stunning roll top bath means you can enjoy an indulgent soak at the end of a busy day and completes the layout of this property. Set amidst acres of countryside, enjoy walks, as well as easy access to the Offa's Dyke trail, and see if you can spot any Kites that are known to frequent the area. You can also collect your own eggs from the free range chickens as well as making friends with the friendly horse and ducks. Llandyssil village centre is a short walk away, with a pub and small selection of shops to peruse, while Montgomery is just over two miles away, with its 12th century castle ruins, museums, Town Hill County War Memorial, cricket club and selection of cafés, restaurants and shops as well as the local farmers market held on a Thursday. Lakeside Golf Course is just over a mile from us with an excellent 9 hole golf course, driving range, putting green and excellent Restaurant which has wonderful seating areas overlooking the golf course and the river Severn. The town of Bishop's Castle is in easy reach, on the outskirts of the Shropshire Hills AONB, with a nature reserve, fascinating House on Crutches Museum and walking trails, including a climb up Cordon Hill as well as Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway - a scenic route through beautiful mid-Wales countryside on this narrow guage railway and Ludlow - a Food Lover's Delight and host to one of the UK's best Food Festivals. And why not head into the Shropshire Hills, which extends from the Wrekin to Clun Forest and from Stiperstones across to the Clee Hills, with over 800 square kilometres to explore, whilst enjoying views across English and Welsh countryside. The town of Montgomery rests just one mile from the Welsh/Shropshire border. Popular with tourists, the town has a delightful selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, including Michelin-starred The Checkers restaurant, a fabulous way to make your holiday truly special. Pay a visit to the ruins of the 13th century Montgomery Castle, which enjoys beautiful views over the town’s timber-framed houses and cobbled streets, and beyond across Wales. The castle also hosts productions of touring theatre groups regularly during the summer. A few miles to the south is the historic market town of Bishop's Castle, an excellent place for a day or night out with its excellent pubs, live music and festivals throughout the year. The wider area is wonderful for walking and there are many cycle routes in the surrounding countryside with varying levels of difficulty. You can venture further into Wales with a drive up to the Snowdonia National Park, or directly west to Cardigan Bay, for the day, or hop back over the border and explore the Shropshire Hills AONB.
