Reviews

Set in St Briavels, Gloucestershire is this amazing 2-bedroomed cottage sleeping 4. Very modern, quiet and snug. Upon arrival I met the lovely Lucy who explained about the property and that if I needed her, just to call. The cottage is so welcoming. The ground floor consists of a gorgeous conservatory with garden views, a bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom. However, the first floor has a kitchen, very large bedroom with a relaxing area and bathroom and a dining area. From here you will see the amazing views of the countryside. I only put on the heating in the early morning and for a few hours when the sun disappeared - the cottage maintains its heat very well. Upon arrival there was a welcoming 2 pints of local milk and Welsh cakes. Cottage was extremely clean and very well loved. I enjoyed my stay here at The Granary and did not want to leave! My time here was to read, listen to music and to go hiking and walking the local area. Every first Saturday of the month is the Farmers Market at the Pavilion in the grounds of the Memorial Park (East Street) and a large play area and football pitch for the kids. The pub is quite literally a stones-throw away and surprisingly quiet. The village is lovely and the locals made me feel welcome. I even managed on one of my more energetic days to climb Pen Y Fan in Wales! Would I recommend this cottage? Without doubt!
