What an absolute pleasure to stay at "Garden House" Since having our furry friends, we decided to holiday where they can come with. So we have stayed in many, many cottages, but this one far exceeds them all. It is exceptionally clean, very well equipped, the garden is beautiful. A lot of places say they are pet friendly, but they are really not, "Garden House" not only welcomes pets, they are catered for too. A fresh bowl of water waiting on arrival, food/water bowls galore, throws for the furniture, a lead, a ball and thrower in the garden. The list is endless. It's a shame I can only give this property 5* Thank you so, much Fiona for making our stay so, so comfortable and welcoming. We have re booked and will do again and again.

Yes as others have mentioned it is super. We had a long journey due to lots of hold ups and were tired but my where we surprised at the cottage it seemed home from home everything you wanted was there we didn't need to buy any extras. It was the week that the petrol shortage started so we couldn't go out as we had to conserve what we had for the return home. So the whole week was spent in the cottage but boring ...no.....very restful we couldn't even go out for food so I sent for a Tesco order which saved the day and gave us plenty to eat! Every utensil you would need is in the kitchen. We spent a lot of time in the lovely garden sitting and eating at the patio knowing are dogs were safe running in the garden, Inside we found all the things you would need for your pets down to treats and spare leads and even toys!! Plenty for children of all ages supplied with DVDs and books. We are not ones for TV so spent a lot of time covering the local walks and meeting the "locals" all very friendly and after all that it went to quick and It was time to go home. We have been to many cottages but not one like this..............You must go and see for yourselves.

We stayed at this beautiful spacious house for a month during COVID whilst having building work done on our own house and it honestly felt like a holiday (even though we were still working). We took our 2 teens, 2 dogs and even the cat and we all really enjoyed our stay here! The dogs in particular enjoyed the spacious garden to play in, we enjoyed playing in the snow too! This house has literally everything you’d ever need on a day to day basis, home from home really. We only needed to bring our clothes, bathroom bits and food. We enjoyed the cozy evenings in front of the wood burner in the living room (another in the dining room too) and walked every day in the local area. We also went further a field in the car to the many surrounding walks in Thetford forest. I frequently used the large slow cooker to prepare meals that would last for days and quickly got used to using the kitchen appliances. We honestly could live in this house, very comfortable in every way, even the beds! Northwold is a peaceful friendly village, every body we met was friendly. You do need to drive out of the village to buy your food items. Brandon is the next nearest town, just a10 min drive and you have Tesco and Aldi there. There is a garage, small shop and excellent fish and chip shop in mundford which is only a 5 min drive away. I highly recommend this property to anyone that likes peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful walks and we certainly plan to come and stay again in the future. Fiona was always on hand via message if I had any enquiries and was always extremely helpful.

We booked with some trepidation, having not left our own home since March, but desperate to try to make Christmas different from every other day. We needn't have worried! The house is just perfect in every way and Fi goes to huge lengths to make sure you feel welcome. Every little thing is thought of. There was milk in the fridge and treats on the table. Fresh eggs and all the cleaning products you'd need. Not that we needed to use them at the start because the house is spotless. Both woodburners were prepared to be lit on arrival. We took wood but there was a generous box by each to start us off. The kitchen is well equipped (there's even a slow cooker and sandwich toaster!) The freezer took all our food (brought with us because we are sheilding) and the dishwasher was a bonus (we took tablets but there were some there too) The garden is fabulous! The little house at the end with its air hockey was a favourite escape for our daughters even though it was freezing weather. The porch gave me the chance to still socially distance from a visiting friend, outside, but away from the sleet/hail of that day. The proximity of the forest meant we could walk with family safely too. We don't have a dog, but clearly they are very welcome too. With spare leads/bowls in a box by the back door, every member of the family is catered for! For ours, the WiFi was important and that didn't disappoint them either. We had a fabulous break in a home very different from our own. Definitely recommended.
