Cider Press Cottage is an absolute gem of a holiday property and we're delighted to see it undergo a total revamp in early 2015, making it a stylish, spacious country retreat about 10 - 15 mins from the centre of Bath. Built in the 18th century and situated in the grounds of the owners beautiful home, this classic little cottage is every inch the rural retreat. The cottage is detached yet literally just moments from open countryside, with a lovely stroll down the lane to the village and it's local pub, The Ring O'Bells. Internally the light colours along with the tasteful furniture give it a real contemporary feel, while all the old period features ensure the charm and character remain within this charming bolt hole. The location of the property is absolutely ideal, a short drive into Bath city centre or a short walk deep into the countryside give this an appeal which sets it apart from so many cottages. Reviews

We had booked a week at this cottage in around three weeks time. As required, we pre-paid the full booking. This week I received medical advice that I cannot now travel to the UK, and so had to cancel everything - including this booking. Booking.com enabled us to explain the terrible and unavoidable situation, and we sought at least a partial waiver of the costs. We have instead been advised that this property is “unable” (with no explanation) to do anything but charge us the full cost. We have accepted this, but it is very poor customer service and I recommend you do not book this cottage if there is even a possibility of cancellation. We will never use them again.

Myself and 3 friends recently visited Lucy's cottage as part of a girls weekend away. We found this cottage on Sykes Cottages and have go say it was beautiful! Fully as advertised, it was clean, comfortable, and has all a great range of available facilities. It was a short stones throw away from Bath and Cheddar Gorge and is situated in a beautiful rural village of Priston.Lucy was a really brilliant attentive host who made us feel very welcome too. If you're looking for a nice rural retreat with the open of walks, pubs and Bath nearby, it's definitely worth a visit! Thankyou for a wonderful stay!
