Within earshot of the soothing sounds of the Scandal Beck, across the fields from the 14th century St Oswald’s Church and just around the corner from the beautiful Kings Head pub, is Linden Cottage. This cosy, converted Blacksmith’s workshop is nestled in Ravenstonedale, a peaceful north Cumbrian village, just a few short miles away from its neighbouring town, Kirkby Stephen. It makes a lovely base from which to explore the beautiful Eden Valley. The ground floor is a warm open space, with a comfy sitting room showcasing a woodburning stove at its heart. Warm wood throughout harks back to its ancient roots along with a beautiful wooden floor. Dining at the table in this special room is a treat with views through the French doors across the village. The kitchen is open-plan and boasts a whole range of appliances, designed to make your stay a real home-from-home experience. Upstairs, there is a bright and airy bathroom, fully tiled with a bath, shower over, basin and WC. Two beautiful bedrooms with exposed wooden floors finish off this delightful cottage. Each have views over the village and hills beyond. The master bedroom features a double bed, whereas the second offers zip-and-link beds giving you the option of a twin setup. To the front of the property is a welcoming patio with seating, the perfect place to enjoy breakfast in the morning sunshine. With two great pubs and situated just a mile from the main road, the village is such a handy place to stay, giving easy access to Cumbria the Lakes, Eden Valley and the North Pennines. Explore the area on foot or via the many cycling routes. Visit the Settle to Carlisle Railway Line and take in the wonderful scenery. There is so much to see and do in the surrounding area, making this the perfect base for you and your loved ones.

Ravenstonedale lies at the foot of the Howgill Fells, within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Once described by the famous author, A Wainwright, as one of Westmorland’s loveliest villages, the area boasts many walking, horse riding and cycling routes, whilst the nearby attractions provide something for everybody. Visit the Settle to Carlisle Railway Line, the Howgill Fells, Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks.

Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability.
