Reviews

The cottage has been furnished to a high standard and was perfect for us as a small family of 3. The only slight disappointment was the lack of a proper shower (only an attachment to the bath taps), however due to the apex of the bathroom roof I can completely appreciate why there isn't one! Beds were both very comfortable, the kitchen was more than adequately equipped and other furnishings were good quality too. Helen was a lovely host and even provided a very helpful guide with local things to do in advance for us to plan our stay as well as placed some toys for our 3 year old son to enjoy within the cottage. You can also appreciate a number of thoughtful touches that she has made to the property with the soft linens, room fresheners and premium hand soaps etc too. The cottage is in a great location for exploring the numerous country parks in the area. All that we visited were lovely (Barnwell, Irchester, Rushden Lakes (with shopping village) and Stanwick Lakes) and within a short drive. Woburn Safari is also reasonably close and Wicksteed Park is a fun day out too. Whilst the cottage us in a quiet village location, the small towns of Raunds and Thrapston are both within a 5 minute drive in either direction and each have a number of good dining options, takeaways and supermarkets that are easily accessible. We would definitely recommend it and would consider staying again too.
