The immediate area is steeped in maritime and smuggling history and is renowned for having one of the best climates in England. Head towards the coast and visit ever popular Mullion and beautiful Poldhu Cove, and a number of quaint fishing villages such as pretty Porthleven. From here you can also access the South West Coast Path meaning that you don t need a car to explore the area. Other attractions and places of interest accessible from here and well worth a visit include The Minack Theatre, National Seal Sanctuary, Flambards Theme Park, Tate Gallery at St Ives, The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the castles at Pendennis and Tintagel, and RNAS Culdrose. Leisure facilities: shared heated outdoor swimming pool (open from May to the end of September, weather permitting), changing room and WC. Outside: access to 23 acres of farmland with sheep, chickens and horses, picnic areas, climbing frame, slide and swing, walks and access to public footpaths.
