For those looking for a more challenging hike or climb, there are plenty of opportunities in the surrounding area, including climbs at Dow Crag and Hodge Close Quarry. Of course, a trip to the Lakes would be incomplete without taking to the water and with both Coniston Water and Lake Windermere only a few miles from the property, visitors will be spoilt for choice, with pleasure boat cruises, boat, canoe, and windsurf hire all on offer. This self contained apartment, located on the first floor, makes a wonderful retreat for a couple who want to enjoy a quiet break in the Lake District. The main living space comprising of a lounge/diner, which enjoys stunning views over the countryside from the two comfortable easy chairs. Glass doors from this room lead out to the balcony, which is a new addition to the property for 2017. There is also a Smart TV, CD player, and an electric fire to keep the room nice and cosy whatever the weather.
