Grizedale Forest is just a few miles south of the village and offers stunning walks, a sculpture trail, fun Segway hire and a Go Ape climbing centre, which even has a thrilling zip wire, for those feeling brave. Of course, a trip to Lake Windermere is a must, and it is just five miles from the property. This really is a wonderful base from which to enjoy this beautiful region. Guests access this property via asset of external steps, which lead to the stable door opening onto the property s hallway. Through the hallway, guests will come to the welcoming open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with some lovely original features, including the exposed stone wall and fireplace which now occupies the cosy wood burner, sitting on a stone hearth. The room is wonderfully relaxing, with leather sofa, Smart TV, and window side dining table for two. The contemporary kitchen area offers everything that guests will need to prepare their favourite meals, including an electric oven, hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. A glass sided staircase leads up to the romantic bedroom, which has the feeling of a high quality hotel room, only with more privacy.
