There is plenty to do in the village itself, with the Beatrix Potter Gallery and the historic Grammar School, where William Wordsworth was once a pupil, both being popular attractions for tourists who want to learn more about the region s literary connections. Lake Windermere is just a few miles away, where visitors can enjoy boat trips, participate in water sports, and enjoy scenic walks around the edge of the lake. On entering this former police station, guests will first come to the entrance hall, which leads on to the spacious kitchen/diner, with its slate floors, round dining table and country style decor.
