Of course, visitors will want to visit the lakes and the property is situated right in the middle of two of the region s finest: Coniston Water and Lake Windermere, which are both around six miles away. This pretty cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District and offers accommodation sleeping seven. The heart of the house is the open plan lounge/diner, with its beamed ceiling, slate floor, and stone fireplace which now houses the wood burner. The two comfortable sofas allow guests to relax whilst watching the TV and DVD, or perhaps enjoying one of the selection of provided books or board games. The dining area of this room has a large table seating eight. A snug room, also located on the ground floor, takes on the role of a second lounge area with a second TV. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and access through to the sunny conservatory with its wicker chairs and patio windows leading out to the garden. There is also a handy wet room with walk in shower and WC on the ground floor. Taking the stairs to the first floor, guests will find the master bedroom with its king size bed, as well as a double room, a twin room and, finally, a bunk bedroom. The main bathroom is also located upstairs and has a shower over the bath and WC.
