The property s woodland location means that there are plenty of lovely walks in the local area, and the Grizedale Forest Visitors Centre is just one mile from the cottage, and offers walking routes, a cafe, sculpture trail, children s playground, and even a Go Ape high ropes adventure, if you fancy a birds eye view of the forest. This property is accessed by a flight of external steps which bring visitors to the raised accommodation. The heart of the cottage is the spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a stylish room with lovely views across rolling countryside, which can be viewed from the upholstered window seats. To one end of this room, the dining area is light and airy, and offers a table which comfortably seats four. The lounge area occupies the centre of the room, and has double aspect windows, beamed ceiling, and a cosy wood burner which makes a delightful focal point to the room. There is also a TV/DVD, and iPod dock which can be enjoyed from the comfortable sofas. The kitchen has been designed beautifully with granite work tops and offers an electric oven, halogen hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washer/dryer. One of the property s bedrooms, a king size room, is also on this floor, as is a lovely shower room with WC. Downstairs, on the lower ground floor, there is a second bedroom, a double, which benefits from its own en suite bathroom with shower over the bath and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed, south facing patio area with table and chairs to the rear of the property with views across the fields.
