A five minute drive to the south of the village brings guests to the spa town of Harrogate, where they can spend a pleasurable afternoon browsing the shops, taking afternoon tea at Bettys, or enjoying a relaxing spa session in the Turkish baths.

The area around the village, meanwhile is exactly what you would expect from Yorkshire: rolling hills and green fields, peppered with historic buildings such as Bolton Abbey, Ripley Castle, and the stunning Fountains Abbey. From the parking area, guests approach this property through the delightful apple orchard before taking the three steps up which lead to the front door. Once inside, they will find an inviting lounge with two comfortable sofas, a TV/DVD, and warming wood burner in the fireplace. Moving through to the open plan kitchen/diner, guests are easily able to make themselves at home thanks to the excellent range of equipment which includes an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, pantry, and washing machine. The bathroom which is also located on the ground floor, has a shower over bath and WC. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, the first of these being a pretty room with a king size bed, feature fireplace, and an en suite shower room with shower and WC. The second bedroom, meanwhile, is a twin room, whilst the third is a peaceful single. To the front of the cottage, guests will find an attractive apple orchard, whilst to the rear there is an enclosed lawned garden which affords views over the neighbouring fields, for which garden furniture is provided in the summer months.
