4 miles to the east of the village, the market town of Holt is a great place to spend an afternoon wandering round the shops and stopping for lunch in one of the numerous eateries, whilst the North Norfolk coast with its beaches, harbour villages, and wildlife reserves can also be reached within a 4 mile drive. Stepping inside this former schoolhouse for the first time, guests will immediately gain a sense of the property s history. The main living area extends to 30 and has a high beamed ceiling which has been beautifully maintained by the owners. Despite the grandeur of the room, the lounge area has a lovely cosy feel to it, with its deep sofa and open fire. In the corner of the room a smart TV provides entertainment in the evenings and the room also offers a dining table with views over the garden. The kitchen area is at the opposite end of the property and comes equipped with an oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. The bathroom (which is located downstairs), has been finished in a contemporary style and offers a shower over bath and WC. Wooden stairs lead to a partially galleried bedroom, a romantic space with a double bed situated under the eaves. (Please do be careful of the reduced head height). Outside, the property boasts an amazing 1 acre of grounds which has been mainly left to long grass in order to welcome a host of local wildlife. A path has been mowed to allow guests to wander around and to thoroughly enjoy the peaceful location. Garden furniture is provided, and it really is lovely to sit outside as the sun goes down and enjoy al fresco drinks in your private retreat. There is private off road parking available..
