Further Details
Lowther Castle is a short drive away, the castle and gardens are a sight to behold and there is a fabulous adventure playground. Sailing, paddle boarding, horse trekking are all available in the local area. The property was renovated from the original Victorian school by the current owners, complete with bell tower to make a single storey home. On entering the property, you will see many of the original features. As you enter the house into the lobby it opens up into the spacious kitchen and south facing dining area. It is well equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. The dining area catches the sun and is a lovely spot to enjoy your breakfast, enjoy a coffee and watch the birds. From the hallway there is a twin bedroom and double with en suite shower and WC. There is also a bathroom next to the twin room which features a shower over bath and WC. Heading back through the kitchen and through into the bright lounge with it's french windows which overlook the garden and surrounding open fields. The lounge has comfy sofas, Smart TV/DVD as well as an open fire. There is access from the lounge out to the garden. From the lounge there is a second double bedroom with an en suite shower and WC. There is a pretty enclosed country garden which overlooks the open fields, it is a lovely peaceful place to sit on a nice day, watch the local wildlife and if you are lucky you might see the resident red squirrel. There is ample private parking available on the private drive to the front of the property which will accommodate up to four cars..
