Penrith is just a short drive away for a great day out. There are lots of opportunities to go cycling along quiet country roads; Exploring Eden offers four circular do in a day routes around Appleby and there is The Lakes & Dales Loop cycle route which allows you to get up close to Cumbria s spectacular landscapes using quiet country lanes the route takes in the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Eden Valley, Morecambe Bay and West Cumbria. The Lake District is just a short drive away; why not enjoy a trip on one of the Ullswater Steamers or take a tour of a distillery? As you enter the house, you will find yourself in a small lobby with shoe and coat storage. From here, through the traditional oak braced latched door, you will enter the cosy lounge with stunning beams, a dining area and a wood burner. It is a great place to relax after a day out exploring. The kitchen is off the lounge and is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and wine cooler. Head back through the lounge and up the stairs to the first floor. You will find two bedrooms: a single bedroom with a view over the garden and a spacious king size bedroom with feature beams, low level windows and built in wardrobes where you will find a safety deposit box. Between the bedrooms, you will find a Jack and Jill bathroom with a separate shower, WC and a corner bath along with a lit mirror over the sink. Outside, there is a private garden to the rear of the property where you can sit out whatever the weather making use of the lovely summer house which has views over the fells. There is rhubarb growing in the garden which you are welcome to pick and use. It is a real suntrap and the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. There is parking to the rear of the property just off the main road; this is not exclusive to the property but there are plenty of places to park in the vicinity without restrictions..
