The village boasts a plethora of attractions such as Gulliver's Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum or, if you are feeling more adventurous, you can ride the cable cars to the stunning Heights of Abraham hilltop park where you can experience cavern tours, walking trails and a children s playground. The splendid Chatsworth House (8.5 miles), Haddon Hall (7.5 miles) and Crich Tramway Village (5.5 miles) are close by, or why not take advantage of good walking routes around the Derwent Valley and White Peak. Road cyclists will love the winding roads in the Peak District and family cyclists will love trails at Carsington Water (7.5 miles) and the High Peak Cycle Trail (accessible within 2 miles). Mountain bikers will find an exciting range of off road trails in the area too. The property is a fine period property, lovingly restored and tastefully finished with a contemporary twist that offers guests something a little bit different. The house sits in an elevated position so you will have some fantastic views of the hills and woodland beyond the garden. Head up the pathway from the parking area and step inside the hallway, where a welcome pack awaits. The hall leads you through to the generously sized kitchen/diner which is divided by a central island, allowing for relaxed socialising over lazy lunches or casual suppers. Sit at the breakfast bar, drink in hand, while the chef of the group prepares a feast. The kitchen offers all your essentials including a range style electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The utility room provides plenty of space for outdoor gear, wellies and walking boots, and includes a washing machine and tumble dryer for those holiday practicalities. After dinner, move through into the lounge with a wood burner at its heart. Stoke the fire and settle down for the night on the leather sofas while watching a movie on the large Smart TV. Completing the ground floor set up is a shower room with shower and WC, perfect if you have returned from a muddy walk in the Peak District! Upstairs to the first floor are three well proportioned bedrooms, all of which have pretty, original fireplaces and provide lots of space for sleeping and storage. The main bathroom includes a gorgeous freestanding bath, victorian style tiles, shower and WC. Every detail has been carefully thought of from USB plug sockets in all rooms, to restoring original doors and door handles providing guests with the most memorable stay. Outside is a great space for all the family. You'll find a large paved patio and a perfectly placed dining table and chairs set where you can dine alfresco in the sunshine and enjoy a BBQ.
