Inland, the bustling market town of Cockermouth (3.5 miles) is home to a choice of great places to eat and drink, including the Jennings Brewery. This is also a great base for exploring the northern reaches of the Lake District, with Bassenthwaite Lake within easy reach (10.5 miles), with local attractions including the Lake District Wildlife Park (12 miles) and Whinlatter Forest Park (11.5 miles). Situated behind the ancient stone barn, the property is accessed from the parking area via a step up to the garden gate, into the private patio and through the French doors.
