The lakes Crummock and Loweswater are 4 miles away. Enjoy fishing, walking, boating and sightseeing in these beautiful areas. The Georgian market town of Cockermouth is 4 miles away, great for perusing independent shops and dining out. Whinlatter Forest Park (3.5 miles) is filled to the brim with cycling and walking routes as well as a fantastic Go Ape attraction. This single storey home has two entrances, with space for coats and boots in both areas. Head through to the open plan kitchen/diner where you ll find everything you need for a fantastic self catering stay in the Lake District. The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washing machine. It also benefits from a fantastic Nespresso coffee machine so bring some pods and enjoy a sumptuous coffee. The dining table has four seats so you can socialise over a home cooked meal. Admire the views across the garden, pasture, river and beyond from the dining room s window. Through to the living room and you ll find vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. Fire up the warming wood burner and take a seat on the comfortable sofa.
