Under 3 miles away, you will find Bampton, a small town set in a wooded valley, a tributary of the River Exe, with cafes and restaurants, or visit the lively town of Dulverton which is 7 miles away where you will find a plethora of shops, cafes restaurants and pubs. Other points of interest include water sports at Wimbleball lake; Knightshayes, owned by the National Trust and set in 250 acres of woodland; the Valley of Rocks, and Lynton and Lynmouth. This is also a stunning area to put your walking boots on and enjoy many local walks, both in the countryside and on the North Devon coastline. This fabulous retreat is approached down a long driveway, where you will come to Southcombe Farm and the cottage is the furthest end of this Devon longhouse. As you step into the cottage, you will be entering the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This wonderfully designed, open plan area has a dining table for two and a sumptuous sofa on which to relax and watch your favourite movies on the Smart TV, sitting in front of the cosy wood burner.
