Dovedale valley is a nature reserve that boasts ancient ash woodland, grasslands and an abundance of wildlife. Discover stunning walks from your doorstep, including Thorpe Cloud, Dovedale Stepping Stones and the water meadows of the River Dove. In the neighbouring picturesque market town of Ashbourne you can find a wonderful range of restaurants, cafes, family friendly pubs and independent shops. Also close by is Thor s Cave (6 miles), Carsington Water reservoir (8 miles), perfect for birdwatching, water sports, walking and cycling around its eight mile perimeter. Visit the Tissington and Manifold trails, a haven for walkers and cyclists (2 miles and 8 miles respectively), Chatsworth House and Gardens (18 miles) and the historic town of Bakewell (15 miles).
