The market town of Cockermouth, which was the birthplace of Wordsworth, is just 8 miles away. Walk the Cumbria Way (11 miles away) and the magnificent fells and peaks of Skiddaw and Blencathra (9 and 17 miles respectively). For outdoor enthusiasts, there are opportunities to enjoy mountaineering, rock climbing, horse riding, paragliding, hang gliding, canoeing, kayaking and sailing in the area. Or enjoy a visit to The Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, where there is also a cinema. The entrance to this property is through a large porch and opens into the open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area.
