Take a day trip to the nearby village of St Mawes (11 miles) which offers a lovely selection of independent boutique shops, pubs, restaurants, and galleries, alongside a pretty harbour and historic castle. From here you can jump on the pedestrian ferry and enjoy a day out in Falmouth or take a cruise on Carrick Roads estuary. In the summertime, enjoy a boat trip to the beautiful St Anthony Head. Also accessible from here is the cathedral city of Truro, boasting an array of shops and eateries (12 miles).
