The River Walkham runs through the village, which is famous for its ancient stone bridge (the Bagpuss Bridge). Yelverton, with its larger shops, is only 2 miles away. Just 15 miles south is the Ocean City, Plymouth, where you can find the National Marine Aquarium, The Hoe, Tinside Lido and the Theatre Royal.
