For more fast paced exploring, this holiday home sits near the Coast to Coast cycle route and is close to some wonderful outdoor swimming spots. The market town of Penrith is just 8 miles away where you will find independent shops, restaurants, and pubs. There is a train station which has a regular service into Glasgow and Edinburgh, where you can enjoy a day exploring the art galleries and museums. Just 100 metres away in the village from the barn is an open air seasonal pool. For any equestrians in your party, enjoy a hack from one of the local centres or cycle through the network of quiet country roads and explore the unspoilt local area. Head to the Lakes (11 miles) to paddleboard on Ullswater, or take a trip on a steamer and visit the Aira Force waterfall (17 miles). From the parking area, walk through the front door into the welcoming hallway.
