This is perfect walking country, so bring the dog and enjoy the numerous attractive walks close by. Recently modernised and well equipped, this inviting cottage is quietly tucked away within an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty but benefits from having local shops and village pubs on the doorstep. The cottage is conveniently located to enjoy this fascinating Medieval town, with its maze of narrow Saxon streets, the magnificent fifteenth century church and listed buildings and if you want to venture further afield it's only a few minutes drive from the stunning East Devon and West Dorset coastlines. The seaside towns of Seaton, Sidmouth and Lyme Regis are all within easy reach by car.
A tram service runs between Seaton and Colyton stopping at Colyford and passing alongside the Axe Estuary which is a nature reserve. There are numerous walks in every direction including some riverside trails and the River Coly flows from its origins further up the valley joining the River Axe just below Colyford. The mile long shingle and sandy beach at Seaton is only 3 miles away and is rarely crowded.
