There is also a second smaller shower room on the ground floor. Everyone will love the hot tub, a perfect place to unwind and gaze at the wonderful rural views reaching for miles. The village is only a couple of miles away with a host of good pubs, and there are challenging walks from the doorstep into wild and rugged Dales’ countryside. Upwood Park offers a vibrant clubhouse for guests with a soft play area and combined games room, excellent bar with real ales and nightly weekend entertainment during the season. Nearby Haworth is steeped in literary history and was formerly home to the Bronte sisters. Haworth has much to offer, including a variety of walks, which allow visitors to follow in the footsteps of Cathy and Heathcliff by wandering the fantastic rugged moorland. The market town of Hebden Bridge is nearby, and within reach is Skipton with its cobbled streets and delightful castle, whilst further afield is the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, boasting fabulous shops, an excellent theatre and the Royal Pump Room Museum. You can also make a trip to the famous Malham Cove. This is a wonderful holiday cottage, perfect for that much promised visit to the Yorkshire Dales.

The small village of Oxenhope lies amid wonderful scenery, and offers the chance to take advantage of the multitude of walks in the area. The village, with its shops, churches and pubs, is home to the terminus for the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, which runs on a regular basis to Haworth and on down to Keighley.
