With a large stable that can be rented from the owners directly and plenty of local trekking this is the ideal place to stay with your horses. Cedar Lodge is a new build and has a lovely light decor with contemporary furnishings and large windows which give an abundance of natural light throughout. Curl up on the provided sofas or armchairs to catch up with your favourite shows of an evening, spend some quality family time together, whilst the bi-folding doors give you the most beautiful views across the farming fields. The dining area rests behind this with seating for four people, and is the perfect spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast or a delicious home-cooked meal. The kitchen has been fitted to a high standard with all cream units and sleek black worktops and ample preparation space to inspire some home cooking. Retire to one of two well-presented bedrooms, comprising of a double and twin, both of which have a range of contemporary furniture for storage purposes, with matching bedside tables and lamps, ideal for some late-night reading. The sitting room gives access to the enclosed decking area, where you can sit out in the evening sun with a refreshing drink and dine alfresco whilst the sun sets. The property is situated in the village of Old Buckenham, which is said to have the largest village green in Britain; over 40 acres with duck ponds and playing fields. All Saints Church in the village is one of only six in Norfolk that has an octagonal tower and it dates back to around 1300. The nearby village of Banham offers some wonderful attractions, including Banham Zoo, a family park, rich with exotic animals, something you and your little ones will delight in. Fans of the popular TV series Dad's Army will delight in visiting the Dad's Army Museum, full of memorabilia dedicated to the BBC comedy series. Travel towards the bustling market town of Thetford which offers a large selection of traditional pubs and restaurants for that fine dining experience, as well as a number of shops and supermarkets for picking up any last-minute essentials. Thetford Forest is a huge popular tourist attraction for exploring the rural sites by walking or cycling, alternatively, for a spot of history visit the medieval Thetford Castle. One hour drive away is Holkham beach which has a vast beach where horses can canter along the sea shore and a car park large enough for a horse box.
