In the heart of Beer village, just 100 yards from the sea is the historic Old Lace Shop. Dating back to the 17th century, this period holiday cottage oozes charm and, so rumours have it - part of Queen Victoria’s wedding dress was made here!Today, this tardis like cottage has beautiful interiors with wooden floors, stylish furnishings and a comfortable coastal vibe. Accommodation is spacious and well equipped with four bedrooms sleeping seven guests. The contemporary kitchen is very well equipped and you have the choice of a larger sitting room or a snug to relax in. Outside there’s a lovely courtyard garden with a table and chairs and barbeque - perfect for alfresco dining.Beer is a traditional fishing village in a sheltered bay on the beautiful World Heritage Jurassic Coast. The port dates back to the 15th century and is charming with its beach huts and colourful boats washed up on the shingle. Stroll around the independent shops, galleries and cafes, take a walk along the dramatic cliff hugging coastal path to Branscombe beach. Branscombe has a couple of good pubs and a dog-friendly beach with a great cafe serving fresh seafood.
