Most delightful stone built cottage, one of two converted from the old coach house, situated in a pretty Devon countryside and valley setting. The cottage is situated in a cobbled courtyard, down the private driveway of Furzeleigh House, a country estate, steeped in history, on the edge of this popular town, near Lyme Regis. Accommodation: Attractively furnished to a very good standard. Light and bright, with some beamed ceilings. Entrance hall. Sitting room/dining area with table and chairs, feature fireplace with electric wood burning effect fire. Well-fitted and equipped Kitchen. Rear door to enclosed pretty garden with patio overlooking fields, (dependant on time of year sheep may be in the fields) and lovely valley views, garden table and chairs. Gate leads onto fields and pond. Ground floor Bedroom 1: Double. Ground floor Shower room: Shower cubicle, basin, WC, heated towel rail. First floor. Excellent holiday situation, only a 10-minute drive to the charming seaside town of Lyme Regis, on the Jurassic Coast, with famous historic Cobb, local shops, restaurants (fish a specialty) and all amenities. Relax in Lyme’s beautifully landscaped Langmoor Gardens with outstanding views of Lyme Bay. Nearby you can visit the working town mill and sample delicious delights from the bakery then work it off on a climb up Golden Cap, the highest point of the Jurassic Coast. Steeped in history, Lyme Regis offers a variety of activities – fossil hunting, fishing trips, a cliff top golf course, coastal walks along the Undercliff Nature Reserve to Seaton then in the opposite direction to Charmouth with a Heritage Coast Centre. A 15-minute drive to the coastal town of Seaton with Seaton Jurassic Centre and the pretty fishing village of Beer, all with outstanding cliff top walks along the South West Coast path, also many riverside walks along the nearby Axe Valley. An excellent base to explore Dorset, Devon and Somerset.
