Gunnislake 2.5 miles. This spacious detached holiday chalet is in a cul-de-sac of similar chalets, in the beautiful 30-acre wooded grounds of the peaceful Honicombe Manor holiday village, a mile from St Ann's Chapel near Gunnislake. Ideally located for families who enjoy the outdoors and also touring all of Cornwall as well as South Devon and the moors. With full use of the resort's leisure facilities for which the owners have provided membership, you will always find plenty to do whatever the weather. Furnished to a high standard, this Honicombe Manor cottage offers modern and convenient accommodation for families and friends. With an open plan living area, and sleeping and bathroom facilities on both floors, there is plenty of space in this Honicombe Manor cottage for family gatherings or groups of friends. The living room opens onto a patio giving you the opportunity for a spot of alfresco dining. The lodge is ideally placed for those who fancy a more active break in Cornwall with tennis courts very nearby and the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, gym, table tennis, soft play area for the little ones, bar/restaurant, shop and reception just minutes and a short walk away via an easily navigable pathway winding through the resort. During the school holidays there is a busy programme of entertainment including quiz nights and karaoke plus sporting activities including archery, rock climbing, canoeing and abseiling (subject to seasonal opening times). With a fine selection of walks and cycle trails all around, there is plenty to do without going further afield but for those so inclined there are some fabulous local walks through the nearby Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Equally accessible are Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor National Park with undulating moorlands and a myriad of historic sites and monuments - a rambler's dream. The lodge is located in a lesser known part of Cornwall in an Area of Outstanding National Beauty (ANOB), and yet is within 20 miles of the glorious sandy beaches at Whitsand with dramatic scenery and sheer cliffs. The fabulous, bustling town of Looe can also be reached in under an hour (the children and adults will love having a go at crabbing in the harbor), as can the Polperro Heritage Coast. A couple of miles from this Honicombe Manor cottage is the beautiful estate at Cotehele (NT), with formal and woodland gardens sweeping down to the quay on the River Tamar. With so many beautiful villages close by to explore including the idyllic riverside village of Calstock and the outstanding National Trust properties there will always be a choice when deciding your day out - but why not take a train ride to the vibrant city of Plymouth with its many attractions such as the National Marine Aquarium, enjoying the spectacular scenery of the Tamar Valley on the way? Close to your Honicombe Manor cottage is a donkey sanctuary, the Victorian mining village at Morwhellam Quay, and the UK's longest zip wire near Callington. However you must not miss the opportunity to visit the nearby Siblyback Lake and Outdoor and Active centre providing family-friendly activities whether for beginners or keen watersport enthusiasts, an ideal opportunity to learn something new. An ideal and convenient location for a holiday or short well-deserved break at any time of year.

Gunnislake is a little rural village that nestles on the steep banks of the River Tamar, surrounded by dense woods. The village has a choice of pubs and shops, and sits at one end of the pretty Tamar Valley Railway, which operates frequent services to Plymouth along the river bank. Dartmoor is easily explored from this lovely rural location, as are the stunning south and north coast beaches, and the many attractions and amenities of the far west of Cornwall. Tavistock and its regular pannier market, and number of good pubs and restaurants is only five miles away. The tranquil Donkey Sanctuary and National Trust owned Cotehele house and gardens are only a quarter of an hour's drive away, and golfers will relish the chance to enjoy a round at the famous St Mellion's golf club.
