Other places of interest in the area include Ludlow a vibrant market town that has regular farmers market, a medieval castle and a well attended food festival in September. A little further afield you will find the towns of Iron Bridge, Leominster and Bishops Castle. The area is also rich in National Trust houses and gardens that open throughout the year, and for historians why not visit Powis or Stokesay Castle. Take in the views across the orchard of mature fruit trees before stepping into this beautifully finished barn.
