Cley next the Sea is one of Norfolk s most picturesque villages, famous for its 18th century windmill and impressive 13th century church. The village offers a choice of independent art and craft shops, art galleries and plenty of places to eat and drink. The village is close to a shingle beach, and is home to the NWT Cley Marshes Nature Reserve, the oldest and best known nature reserve in the region. Its lagoons, reedbed and marsh attract a variety of wintering and migrating wildfowl and waders, making it a haven for keen birdwatchers. You can also walk along the Norfolk Coastal Path, and visit charming coastal towns and villages including Blakeney (1.5 miles), Wells next the Sea (10 miles) and Cromer (12 miles).
