A short drive away is the popular picturesque market town of Alford boasting shops, including a butchers shop and eateries, as well as a supermarket. Skegness, Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe s sandy beaches are all within easy reach, with amusements and seal sanctuary, great for family days out. A little further is the market town of Louth, with leisure centre, and Hubbards Hills for picnics and walks by the river. At Claythorpe Watermill and Wildfowl Gardens watch birds in their natural environment. The cottage welcomes you into the country style kitchen/diner, which is a fantastic space for any budding chef wanting to spoil their nearest and dearest to a special meal, equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. Come together around the dining table to enjoy the resulting meals and long chats planning the next day s activities. The family bathroom offers a shower over the bath and WC, so bring your bubble bath and enjoy a long soak in the tub. The lounge is warm and inviting offering comfy sofas to sink into after a day exploring the countryside, put your feet up by the TV or lose yourself in a good book. Heading upstairs to the first floor there is a double bedroom with sympathetic furniture and lovely rural views. There is also a twin bedroom which is bright and airy, a wonderful space to get a good night s sleep. Also on this floor is a separate WC. Outside, the front lawn is fenced and gated. Enjoy dining alfresco on the nearby picnic bench and look out for the surrounding wildlife that you can spot. There are also a couple of small sheds that can be used to store bikes and off road parking for two cars. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double and 1 twin. 1 bathroom on the ground floor. 1 separate WC on the first floor. Electric oven and hob, fridge with compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. Off road parking for 2 cars. Wi Fi included. Dogs welcome 1 medium size dog or 2 small dogs. Pub and shop 2 miles. Storage for bikes available please bring your own padlocks. TV in lounge. The front lawn is fenced and gated to allow dogs to relax, the remaining grassed areas are unfenced. Please remember to clear up any dog fouling as theis is also a play area for children.. The property is situated on a working farm, whilst it is peaceful, some tractor noise will be heard during the harvest months, (late August to mid September and occasionally at other times, rarely before 9am and hardly after 10.30pm). Depending on the harvest there may be a need to run a grain dryer fan which can be noisy, however this is a reasonable distance from the cottage and should have no impact on your stay.. To allow the farm crops to establish, occasionally there will be bird scarers in use, typically this will be in late autumn and the spring. The bird scares are not located near the cottage but maybe audible when walking, they do not go off at night. They are blue and orange an located on the edge of a field.. Guests are very welcome to walk both the public footpaths and on our field margins. Dog mess must be cleared up within the grass land where the cattle graze (to prevent Neospora canium). While on the rest of the farmland please clean up after your dog if on the footpaths but otherwise your dogs are welcome to enjoy the freedom of the countryside.. During early Spring the cattle will not be used to humans and it maybe advisable not to walk in the cattle fields with young children. Due to the farm animals, guests are politely requested not to let off any fireworks or Chinese lanterns. Children and dogs are not permitted in the working farm yard.
