Fully renovated by the owners, the two bedroom cottage is full of character and charm, with a great deal of care and attention having been paid to create a lovely home, very much in keeping with its long history. The comfortable, spacious sitting room has a cosy woodburner and a dining area, as well as exposed stone walls and ceiling beams. A lovely, wide window provides good views across to the church and down the valley towards the viaduct and the river. The kitchen also has a dining space and a hallway which leads to the courtyard and the annexe, while upstairs there are two spacious bedrooms and a bathroom with a freestanding bath, adding a little bit of luxury to your stay. The annexe is a stone-built building, providing ground floor accommodation in an open plan configuration, with two bedrooms separated by a half partition. These consist of a set of adult bunks in one half, plus a single bed with a pull-out stacker bed in the other. These two beds can be put together to make a double bed on request and there is also a sofa bed for flexible sleeping arrangements. The ideal retreat for a couple of friends or the kids, this extra space is like a little den all on its own. There is a small kitchen area offering the necessary facilities to make a cup of tea and light meals, plus a spacious wet room to ensure that guests have all they need during their stay. Outside, the courtyard sits between the main house and the annexe, providing a good place to sit and relax in the summer. There is a large, external utility room which can be used for storing bikes and hiking gear, plus the novelty of an outside WC, a real throwback to bygone years! The property is in the middle of the village on the quaint high street where you will find a local inn, shops and even a seasonal, open-air heated swimming pool! A short drive away, the bustling market town of Settle has an excellent array of pubs, restaurants and charming independent shops, plus the nearby Settle-Carlisle Railway is well worth a ride, winding its way through spectacular limestone scenery and over the Ribblehead Viaduct in the heart of the Three Peaks countryside. The cottage is ideal for those interested in outdoor pursuits and for groups looking to take on the challenge of the Three Peaks! It is ideally placed for hikers, cavers and cyclists, with numerous majestic caves and waterfalls in the vicinity. Morecambe Bay is just 20 miles away and a 30 minute drive finds you in the stunning Lake District, making the property a great base for exploring all that this fabulous region has to offer!

The attractive village of Ingleton is nestled beneath Ingleborough, one of the famous 'Three Peaks' on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Offering a wide range of shops, pubs and places to eat, the winding streets of this pretty village all converge on a central market place. A mile outside of Ingleton and down the Hawes road are the well known White Scar Caves. Open to the public, these caves display a huge number of caverns full of stalactites and stalagmites, with one cave home to a huge underground lake. The superb 'Falls Walk' offers an interesting circuit which takes in some of the impressive cascading waterfalls of the area whilst the proximity to both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake distract make this an excellent place for walkers.
