Ideally situated, you can stroll out directly from the grounds and explore the countryside and banks of the River Tamar. You will also be close to the coves and fishing villages that hug the south Cornish coast, including Looe and Polperro, and the sandy beach of Whitsand Bay. Walkers will be in their element exploring the South West Coast Path and scenic Bodmin Moor, or exploring the picture postcard villages of Lanreath and Lerryn. Other attractions accessible from here include the historic naval city of Plymouth, Pentillie Castle and Gardens, Lanhydrock House, Sibleyback Lake and Cardinham Woods, and a little further away on the North Coast but still within easy reach are the surfing beaches of Polzeath, Padstow and Watergate Bay.
